Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, and died 19 January 2008, was an American film, television, theatre and voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then she was in films in the late 1950s. She then appeared in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She later appeared in various TV productions, mostly in guest roles. She also she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who performed under her stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
