Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone was thought to be exceptionally gifted in her academics when she entered in the second grade at age five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. She graduated in 1975. A winner of Miss Crawford County, she also participated in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone was able to move together with her aunt from New Jersey, where she was interested in pursuing a modeling career. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. The next step was Europe in the course of a year residing in Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone, disillusioned at the model world that was thriving in Europe took up acting while living in Europe. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" which received mixed receptions.
